Slide to your monthly mileage and compare a typical gasoline car to an EV charged at Visayas home electricity rates.
For reference: a Talisay to IT Park commute every work day is about 704 km a month.
Assumptions: gasoline at ₱85/L (live PH pump prices, Cebu majors run higher) and 12 km/L; electricity at ₱12/kWh and 15 kWh per 100 km. Adjust for your own bill; the gap stays wide.
Pick a model. The green line is how far it gets on Cebu's roads, there and back.
Distances are approximate driving routes from Cebu City. Bantayan trips run to Hagnaya port; the ferry handles the wet part. The orange dot marks your round-trip turnaround; tap a destination to send the car down its road. Real-world range varies with traffic, aircon, load, and driving style.
They're engineered for the opposite. BYD's Blade Battery is rated for about 3,000 charge cycles, which is over a million kilometers, and it's warranted for 8 years or 160,000 km with at least 70% capacity guaranteed. If your battery shows a fault, call your service advisor: they check it and handle the warranty claim. Wuling backs the Starlight's pack for 8 years too.
An EV has no oil changes, no timing belt, no clutch, and far fewer moving parts, so PMS is simpler and cheaper than a gas car's. The rest is covered in writing: up to 6 years or 150,000 km on the vehicle and up to 8 years on the drive unit.
What kills cars in a flood is water pulled through the engine's air intake. An EV has no intake to drown: the battery pack is sealed and waterproof-rated, and the high-voltage system shuts itself off at the first fault.
Your wall socket is the charging station. Every Wuling and every BYD fills overnight from a regular outlet, and BYD includes the home wall charger, portable charger, and V2L adapter free. In town, DC fast charging runs at BYD Cars Cebu, with AC chargers at Ayala Center and Il Corso.
The opposite: with vehicle-to-load, the car powers your house. Fridge, fans, wifi, until the lines come back. Charge at night, ride it out comfortable.
The family that sold it fixes it, and has been fixing cars in Cebu for four decades: regular maintenance, casa-level diagnostics, genuine parts for all three brands, and priority bays for fleet accounts.

At 9:59 on the night of 30 September 2025, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake broke the seabed off Bogo City. Seventy-four people died. The whole north lost power.
Then Cebu drove north.
By morning we were in Catmon, Bogo and San Remigio with clean water and solar lamps, the first car dealership on the ground, and the only one. Three days later we put thirty cars into a convoy and took Daanbantayan, Medellin, Bogo, San Remigio, Tabogon and Tabuelan in one run. Most of those cars were driven by our own customers, who saw what had happened and came.
Every BYD we sell carries Vehicle-to-Load, which makes the car a generator you can drive. We handed out the goods, then opened the sockets. A line formed: phones, power banks, whatever people had left to charge. We were the first to share power up there.
The rescue teams already working the barangays had no vehicle of their own. They rode back down with us.
We organised the convoy. Cebu filled it.
Earthquake figures: PHIVOLCS and NDRRMC situation report, October 2025.
Cebu is a small island. Everyone here walked into one of our showrooms, sat in the car and made up their own mind. Not one of them was paid to smile.

“We were really thinking of transitioning from gas to hybrid for years and decided this year was the one. We went to Toyota first but were recommended that BYD were at the top of the hybrid game, so we visited and we met Ma'am Ruth.”
Your 5-star review means so much to us. Thank you for allowing BYD Cebu to be part of your EV journey.

“I just bought my Hunter unit and released today. I'm very satisfied with the sales journey with my agent JM. He assisted me well and discussed everything about my car.”
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience and for choosing Changan Cebu, Sir Rowell. We are delighted that Sir JM was able to assist you throughout the process.

“I was satisfied with my sales journey in Wuling Cebu. I met Mam Jolly, she is very charming, very accommodating and professional when explaining about my future PMS. Just bought my Macaron car with my agent Aileen.”
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with Wuling Cebu, Sir John! This 5 star is a game changer!

Thank you for such wonderful feedback, Sir William! We're always committed to providing you the best customer service experience. Congratulations and welcome to BYD Cebu!

“Really had a good experience with the Wuling team, especially with Mam Jolly, very professional when it comes to explaining my car's future PMS. And also my agent Ian. Very hospitable staff.”
We're truly delighted to hear that Jolly made your experience with Wuling exceptional and highly satisfying, Sir Ceasar.

“Jolly and Cyrus were very accommodating from the moment I arrived at the service center until I left. They were both friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was clearly explained throughout the process.”
Thank you so much, Ma'am Luz, for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience with us.
Edward recalled a poignant moment that left a lasting impression: “On our way home for lunch my dad asked me if I thought he did well as a businessman considering that he started with nothing. He shared to me his life story and how grateful he was to all the people who trusted, supported and gave him the opportunity to build his dreams.”
A working student from a young age, Eddie Onglatco sold newspapers and worked as a lumber company salesman to put himself through Industrial Engineering at the University of San Jose Recoletos.
From those modest beginnings, Eddie opens his own hardware store, which grows into leasing, restaurants, and furniture export.
Eddie founds Cebuano Motors Corporation and takes on Ford for Cebu. Over four decades the family will also represent Mazda, Fiat, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Changan, Wuling, and BYD.
Ford leaves the Philippines. With no new cars on the floor, Eddie keeps the service bays running for four years, so the families who bought from him still have somewhere to bring the car.
Mazda gives Cebuano Motors a franchise under Francisco Motors, and Fiat and Hyundai follow.
The Asian Financial Crisis and a change of distributor end the new-car business a second time. Eddie does what he did in 1986, and looks after the customers already on his books.
Eddie and Atty. Augusto Go establish Hyundai Cebu, appointed by Hyundai Asia Resources: the start of a partnership that runs some twenty years, from passenger cars on J. De Veyra Street to the working fleet of today.
Hyundai Cagayan de Oro opens with Cebu International Finance Corporation, represented by Ruben Almendras and Alvin Tanunjo.
Eddie passes away; his youngest son Edward takes the driver's seat and steers the group toward its next era.
Under Edward, Hyundai Cebu is named Dealer of the Year three years running, and in 2007 Hyundai crowns it Asia-Pacific Dealer of the Year, chosen from more than 300 dealers across the region.
Tagbilaran opens in 2007, Tacloban in 2011, and Dumaguete in 2012, followed by Ormoc, Calbayog, and Butuan.
Edward, Atty. Augusto Go, Barbara Gothong Tan, and Ambassador Francisco Benedicto form Global Star Motors and take on Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM across the Visayas and Mindanao.
The commercial-vehicle side takes HARI's Top Sales Team, Best in Country Sales, and Best in Light-Medium Duty Sales in 2017, then champions Top Truck Sales Performance and Best in Parts Sales in 2019. The pivot to trucks is already writing itself.
Hyundai appoints the company its authorized Trucks and Buses dealer for Cebu and Cagayan de Oro.
After two decades of Hyundai in Cebu, the operation is reborn as a dedicated 3S truck-and-bus facility at the North Reclamation Area. The working island gets its own address.
Continuum Motors takes on Changan for Cebu, Tagbilaran, Tacloban, Dumaguete, and Cagayan de Oro, and Inchcape Philippines reappoints them in July 2023.
New Electric Dreams, Inc. is established as the authorized Wuling dealer in Cebu.
BYD Philippines and ACMobility appoint Global Star Motors to establish BYD Cebu North.
Global Star Motors opens the A.S. Fortuna flagship: the first BYD dealership in the Visayas, with a seven-bay EV service center.
New Electric Dreams, Inc. celebrates the grand opening of Wuling showrooms in Mandaue and SM City Cebu.
Hyundai Cebu becomes Continuum Mobility Solutions, and is appointed to operate BYD Cebu Central.
EMO Mobility, Inc., wholly owned by the Onglatcos, is established to develop and operate BYD Cebu South.
Continuum Mobility Solutions opens BYD Cebu Central on J. De Veyra Street: the biggest BYD showroom in the Philippines at 7,246 square meters, with a 12-car floor, 14 service bays, and a BYD Cafe.
26 models across three brands, more than 4,200 BYDs sold in Cebu since April 2024, and the same family handshake behind every one of them.

Each of our 26 models has its own page, with the manufacturer’s films, every colour in real photographs, a full gallery and exact dimensions as each model’s official material is released. A map of Cebu lights up how far each car goes on one charge, drawn on the roads you drive. Two cars sit side by side on one screen, and every page opens fast on any phone.
Time back: for the drive you would have made to look
You see the all-in price with the first year of insurance inside it, worked out by a formula you can read. You see the monthly payment for every bank, every down payment and every term, the exact cash you bring on the day you drive home, and what five years of owning the car will cost. A formal quotation with its own number goes straight to your bank.
Time back: for deciding at your own pace
Every model page shows what is in stock right now, colour by colour, read live from the showroom’s own system with the minute it was read. You know which car is waiting for you before you make a single call.
Time back: for sleeping on it
Describe your car, add a few photos and pick a time for our appraisal. Its value goes straight into your quotation, so the old car pays toward the new one in a single conversation.
Time back: for one visit in place of three
Reserve the exact car, and choose your showroom and your consultant by name. Give your OK under the Data Privacy Act, send two valid IDs from your phone, and pay with the bank details of the company selling you the car, ready to copy. Your receipt arrives as a PDF.
Time back: for your morning
Your car gets a private page that walks you through nine named moments, from your first ID to the day the keys are yours. Every step names the person who took it and the minute they did. You know before anyone calls you.
Time back: for every follow-up call you skip
Book test drives and service in real time slots, at prices from the published menu: 102 PMS prices and 114 detailing and coating prices. Follow your car through the workshop by its plate, six named stages with your advisor and the promised time, and see photos of your car from the technician working on it. The warranty is written out in full.
Time back: for the hours you used to spend waiting
Ask us answers prices, monthlies, stock, showrooms and service prices in a second, from the site’s own figures, and hands you and the whole conversation to your consultant with one tap. Plain guides cover charging at home, battery life, floods and brownouts, and the fuel math puts your monthly gas beside the cost of charging.
Time back: for the question at 3 a.m.
Every figure on the site shows where it comes from. 2,299 Google reviews average 4.9, from owners across our showrooms. Every showroom carries its hours, map and phone numbers, each brand has its own site, and the family’s story since 1982 sits beside the newspaper stories that tell it in other people’s words.
Time back: for choosing with confidence
Your purchase, in your hands. Every hour it saves is yours.
Every tool is the work of the people before us, coming back to help the people now. Onglatco.com gathers the work of everyone in the company and takes the necessary work of each day down to its minimum. What it gives back is time, and in that time, an explosion of human powers.
A salesperson once carried a few hundred customers in their head. Now one search holds every customer the family has ever served: every car, every order, every receipt and every repair, back to the Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai years. The website does the remembering, so the salesperson does the listening, and a returning customer is greeted like family.
Time back: for listening
From the moment a car lands at Cebu port, it has one page, and everyone who touches it writes there: the salesperson, the bank, Finance, the cashier and the mechanic. The calls asking where a car is become a few seconds of reading, and those minutes go to the customer standing in front of you.
Time back: for the customer in front of you
The person who keeps the yard once matched long lists by hand. Now the whole yard sits on one screen: every car on the ground, every ship coming into port with the cars on board already sold, every customer waiting in line, in order. One tap gives a car to the next customer, and the daily reports write themselves.
Time back: for the work only people can do
Every peso carries the name of the person who checked it and the minute they did. Finance confirms a payment with one tap, the receipt reaches the customer the same minute, and each car leaves on a paperless gate pass. The chasing becomes a tap, and the day closes on time.
Time back: for going home on time
The same sale is counted in several places across the company, and the website compares them all, all day. Where two disagree, it points to the exact car. The website checks, and people decide. The monthly sales presentation builds itself in one tap, so the night before the meeting becomes a night at home.
Time back: for the night before the meeting
A salesperson goes from first price to signed agreement in minutes. Leads from the website, Messenger, the chatbot and walk-ins arrive in one list. A mechanic builds an estimate from the approved prices, sends photos from the bay, and finds any part on its shelf. Every hour of work travels further, so a full day’s work fits inside the day.
Time back: for a day that ends when it should
Every step carries the name of the person who took it, on the record and on the customer’s own page, so the people who serve get the credit. More than 190 salespeople watch their own scores grow through the day, measured the same way for everyone. Leads take turns fairly: of 1,000 customers shared among seven salespeople, each received 142 or 143.
Time back: for pride in the work itself
New hires practise on pretend customers first, so they work from their first day. Managers rate their people in minutes and name what each one learns next. An empty seat becomes a job posting in one tap. HR’s paperwork shrinks to taps, and its hours go into the people themselves.
Time back: for learning something new
A manager can open any salesperson’s screen exactly as they see it, to help. The owner watches the whole group in a boardroom of fourteen live panels, so a decision that once waited for the month’s end happens the same afternoon. The website tests itself 1,674 ways before any change goes live, and the family owns all of it.
Time back: for deciding while it still matters
This is what every power above is for. The website takes the necessary work of the company down to its minimum, and the time it sets free belongs to the people who earned it: to serve a customer with care, to learn and to create, to go home on time, to rest, to play, and to grow into whoever they want to become.
We make the website. The website makes us.
