The BYD SEALION 5 DM-i is equipped with full-LED headlights to light the road ahead, along with slim LED daytime-running lights. Featuring an automatic on/off function, the headlights intelligently adapt to changing conditions on the road.
The SEALION 5 DM-i’s side profile combines a modern silhouette with strong wheelarch shoulders, while the contrasting D-pillar creates a distinctive look for a “floating roof” effect.
The full-width LED light bar and sharply angled full-LED tail-lights create a stylish look with an integrated roof spoiler, adding to the SEALION 5 DM-i’s dynamic design.

Change the air-conditioning settings with three fingers thanks to the multi-touch 12.8-inch touchscreen. Use the multi-function steering wheel for cruise control and multimedia, for adjustments without taking your hands off the wheel.
The SEALION 5 DM-i comes with ample legroom, with a flat floor so three passengers can sit comfortably. There’s enough room for adults to travel in comfort, even on long journeys.
Bespoke eco-friendly vegan leather seats provide better wear and stain resistance. The driver’s seat comes with six-way electric adjustment and heating, while the front passenger seat features four-way power adjustment and heating.
With a generous 463-litre capacity, the SEALION 5 DM-i’s trunk is more than big enough for suitcases and shopping bags.
Folding down the 40:60-split rear seat extends the SEALION 5 DM-i’s boot capacity to 1410 litres. A flat rear floor makes it easy to load heavy and oversized bags and boxes.

The driving force behind the SEALION 5 DM-i is BYD Super Hybrid with DM Technology, which mixes an EV driving experience with the reassurance and long-range back-up of a state-of-the-art petrol engine-based plug-in hybrid system.
The BYD SEALION 5 DM-i benefits from BYD’s ground-breaking Super Hybrid with DM technology. DM stands for Dual Mode, and the system operates in two distinct ways, as a hybrid car, combining electric power and fuel, and as a fully electric car with up to 85 km of pure-electric range thanks to the SEALION 5 DM-i’s two Blade Batteries. The system’s intelligent control (the ‘i’ in DM-i) improves efficiency during hybrid driving. With a full battery and a full tank, the SEALION 5 DM-i goes up to 1,001 km.
The BYD SEALION 5 DM-i features a full suite of driver assistance technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assistance, Blind Spot Detection, Intelligent Speed Limit Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Forward and Rear Collision Warning. Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Prevention, Automatic Emergency Braking and Hill Hold Control also feature, along with seven airbags (driver’s, front passenger’s, front centre, front side and side curtain), ISOFIX and i-Size connections on the outer rear and front passenger’s seats, a mechanical child-safety lock and an auto-lock system.
